Where there's snow there's fire... Check out this week's hottest Swedes!
What the hell would you do if you had reached the very peak of your game?
I say this aggressively because it's the kind of question that can only be answered if you really believe you have an adequate answer.
Say, hypothetically you're in the Pop Music Game, and some guy with great hair comes up to you and asks "C'mon Swedish Boy, if you're such a dude, name me one song that you've written that will shut me up."
Your name is Miike Snow (AKA Swedish pop maestros Christian Karlsson and Pontuss Winberg) and your answer to the 'shut me up' challenge is that you wrote Britney Spears' Toxic, among other things. Twenty seconds later, the guy with the great hair has left the room.
Once you've worked with Britney, Kylie and Ne-Yo, I'm sure when it comes to making hits, you'll find yourself looking for newer challenges. So, Messers Karlsson and Winberg, along with Andrew Wyatt, have decided to make it on their own, creating their band Miike Snow earlier this year.
It's pop without the corporate agenda; it's dance without the need to throw your hands up in the air, like you just don't care. It's got a beat, but it's not afraid to take said beat for a walk. I'll be honest, you may at first think it's a bit light, a bit emaciated - but give it a few spins, turn it on it's head, ask it about it's childhood, maybe even look out for some remixes... and I think you'll see what I mean.
